About Me

Hello!

I'm Caton Berry, a passionate screenwriter with a Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing from

The Savannah College of Art and Design, where I maintained a perfect GPA of 4.0. My journey in the world of storytelling has been diverse and fulfilling, encompassing various forms of media including film, television, and immersive experiences.

I have honed my skills in software such as Avid Media Composer, Final Draft, Microsoft Office Suite, Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting, and Adobe Acrobat. I pride myself on my problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

My work experience includes serving as a Teacher's Assistant for Intro to Screenwriting at SCAD, where I assessed student screenplays and conducted class presentations on story structure. I have also worked in postproduction, editing short films, documentaries, and music videos using Avid Media Composer. Additionally, I have developed scripts for immersive VR attractions and composed original screenplays such as Puppi, which explores themes of social anxiety.

My screenwriting projects include the TV comedy pilot Stupid Rich, the podcast Scary Tales, and short films like Itchy Tasty and Pro Skater. Each project reflects my dedication to creating compelling and diverse narratives that resonate with audiences.

I have been recognized for my contributions to the world of film and television production. My Pal Ross, my original children's television pilot, received the Quality Children's Media Endorsement from the KIDS FIRST Film Festival Coalition.

I was also a Top 20 Finalist in the Austin Film Festival Pitch Competition for a pitch based on my animated feature screenplay, The Merriment Trees.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio.

I look forward to sharing my stories with you.
